Three Reading
Programmes.
Each programme is designed around a distinct topic area relevant to adults aged 40 and above in Singapore. All three follow the same reading-led, discussion-centred format.
← Back to HomeHow Every Programme Works
All three Saventis programmes share the same structural approach, regardless of their subject matter. Reading material is distributed before each session — not as homework in the school sense, but as preparation for a discussion that will assume familiarity with the text. Participants are expected to read; they are not expected to have fully understood everything they read. Confusion and uncertainty are what the sessions are for.
Each session is facilitated by a Saventis team member whose role is to keep the discussion grounded in the reading, to clarify language when it creates barriers, and to draw out the different readings of the text that naturally emerge in a group. Participants frequently find that others in the cohort have noticed things they missed — or have been confused by things that others found clear. This is the point of a cohort structure.
At the conclusion of each programme, participants leave with printed materials they retain: a reading binder, vocabulary or summary cards, and where applicable a discussion notebook. These are designed to be reference tools beyond the cohort — to be returned to when a relevant conversation arises in daily life.
Read in advance
Material arrives before each session. Participants read on their own schedule, in their own setting.
Discuss together
Sessions are cohort discussions — not lectures. The conversation is shaped by what participants have read and what they have questioned.
Keep the materials
Printed binders, cards, and notebooks are yours to retain as ongoing reference materials.
Saving Habits Reading Programme
A six-week reading programme for adults aged 40 and above on the language and frameworks of household saving habits — the rhythms of weekly statement review, the structure of household saving goals, and the conversational habits that keep saving topics open within the household.
The programme is reading-led: a chapter is sent in advance of each weekly session, and the cohort meets in a small group of twelve to discuss the reading. Educational in scope; no advice is offered.
- Clothbound reading binder with all programme material
- Weekly summary cards for each session topic
- Peer discussion notebook
- Six weekly sessions of approximately 90 minutes each
- Cohort capped at twelve participants
Singapore Schemes Reading Workshop
A weekend reading workshop on the structure of Singapore's national savings and retirement schemes — CPF, SRS, the public-sector annuity landscape, and the language used in scheme documentation.
The workshop is reading-led: participants work through publicly available scheme documentation under guidance, focusing on language and structure rather than product selection. Educational in scope; no advice or product recommendations are offered.
- Printed reference binder with annotated scheme documentation
- Vocabulary cards covering CPF, SRS, and annuity terminology
- Glossary card for continued independent reference
- Two half-day Saturday and Sunday sessions
- Cohort capped at fourteen participants
Estate Conversations Reading Circle
A six-session reading circle on the conversational frameworks around estate-stage topics in Singapore — wills, LPA documents, advance care arrangements, CPF nomination conversations, and intergenerational discussion patterns.
The circle is purely educational: a chapter of pre-distributed material is discussed at each session. Participants gain vocabulary and conversational practice so they can speak more comfortably with qualified professionals. Cohort capped at ten.
- Printed reading binder covering wills, LPA, and CPF nominations
- Conversation cards for intergenerational discussion practice
- Peer discussion notebook for personal reflection
- Six sessions of approximately two hours each
- Most intimate cohort — capped at ten participants

What Applies Across All Three Programmes
Strictly Educational Scope
No advice, no product recommendations, no regulated guidance — in any session, across any programme. The scope is education, and we hold to it without exception.
Singapore Primary Source Material
Reading materials across all programmes are drawn from Singapore's publicly available government and scheme documents — reviewed annually for currency and accuracy.
PDPA Compliant Data Handling
Participant information is processed solely for programme administration, in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. No data is shared with third parties.
Capped Cohort Sizes
Every cohort has a firm cap. We do not expand cohorts to accommodate late demand. If a cohort is full, participants are offered a place in the next available intake.
Annual Material Review
Curriculum and reading materials are reviewed before each programme cycle to reflect any changes in Singapore's scheme documentation, legislation, or publicly available guidance.
Written Participant Feedback
Each cohort concludes with a written review from participants. Responses are read in full and inform changes to subsequent programme cycles.
